Causes of Babies crying
Common causes of excessive crying include:
- Hunger
- Tiredness
- Colic
- Trapped wind
- Wet or soiled nappy
- Too hot or cold
- Wants bodily contact or your attention
- Boredom or over-stimulation.
Trust your instincts - if your baby will not stop crying, and this is unusual, s/he may be unwell and should be seen by a doctor if discomfort continues. There may be other signs of illness, such as a high temperature, pale skin, sickness or diarrhoea.
