Prevention of Blood pressure (high)
- Make lifestyle changes: eat a healthy diet with less salt, and lose weight if necessary. Stop smoking, exercise regularly and reduce alcohol and caffeine consumption.
- Regular checks of the blood pressure, especially if there is a family history of hypertension, are important. Advice or treatment can be started before complications arise.
