Risks of Bone marrow transplant
An allogenic transplant (transplant from a donor) is a very serious and complicated procedure. It is very physically and emotional demanding and can take approximately a year to recover from.
With an autologous transplant, there is no risk that your body will reject the new bone marrow, because it is your own bone marrow.
