Why should it be done? of Breast reduction

A breast reduction operation may be necessary if you are suffering from psychological distress and physical discomfort.

Physical problems may include:

  • backache,
  • neck pain,
  • shoulder ache,
  • skin problems,
  • poor posture,· 
  • excessive sweating, rashes (intertrigo) and infections under the breasts,
  • weals or grooves in shoulders from bra straps, and
  • inability to exercise or take part in sport.

Psychological distress, such as:

  • unwanted attention,
  • harassment,
  • self-consciousness,
  • difficulty in finding clothes that fit; and
  • depression.
