Why should it be done? of Breast reduction
A breast reduction operation may be necessary if you are suffering from psychological distress and physical discomfort.
Physical problems may include:
- backache,
- neck pain,
- shoulder ache,
- skin problems,
- poor posture,·
- excessive sweating, rashes (intertrigo) and infections under the breasts,
- weals or grooves in shoulders from bra straps, and
- inability to exercise or take part in sport.
Psychological distress, such as:
- unwanted attention,
- harassment,
- self-consciousness,
- difficulty in finding clothes that fit; and
- depression.
