Treatment of Cancer of the brain
Treatment will depend on a variety of factors: whether the tumour is primary or secondary, its location and the degree of malignancy. Some common brain cancers are not malignant (ie they are benign and non-cancerous).
Steroids are commonly used in the treatment of all types of brain cancer. If possible, the tumour may be surgically removed, and this is often supplemented by radiotherapy.
