Symptoms of Catarrh

Symptoms associated with catarrh include:

  • a blocked/ stuffy nose and thick nose secretions;
  • an irritating persistent cough, caused by excess mucous at the back of the throat;
  • headache;
  • facial pain, caused by blockages in the nasal passages and sinuses;
  • loss of smell and taste sensations;
  • some deafness and a crackling sensation in the middle ear; and lethargy.
