Disadvantages of Clinical trials
There are disadvantages to being involved in clinical trials. The main disadvantage is that new treatments are not always better and as with all treatments there is an element of risk. They might not be as effective as the current treatment or they might have worse or different side effects.
With all clinical trials, there is no guarantee that you will get the new treatment.
