Prevention of Colour vision deficiency

Inherited (genetic) colour vision deficiencies cannot be prevented. Non-inherited deficiencies, developing as a result of another condition such as diabetes, an accident or taking certain medication, can only be prevented by avoiding the conditions, injuries and medication that can cause them. There are no procedures or drugs that can prevent the development of colour blindness.
