Treatment of Dyspraxia
Dyspraxia is not curable, however the child will improve in many areas with growing maturity. The earlier a child is treated then the greater the chance of improvement.
The multiple nature of Dyspraxia means that treatment may involve many areas, including perceptual motor training, speech and language therapy, maths and numeracy, spelling, reading and literacy, manipulation and behaviour modification.
The child may undergo a graduated series of exercises to develop these skills.
Occupational therapists, physiotherapists and extra help at school can all help a child to overcome many difficulties.
