Symptoms of Earwax
When earwax forms a plug or blockage, this may cause slight deafness, because the ear canal is becoming blocked. It is common for initial deafness to be quite mild and then gets progressively worse, as the ear becomes more blocked. Hearing loss as a result of earwax is usually temporary and hearing returns when the blockage is removed.
A build up of earwax can sometimes cause earache, due to a build up of pressure inside the ear.
Other symptoms can include noises in the ear (tinnitus) and a physical feeling that there is something blocking the ear.
