Diagnosis of Fibroids

If fibroids have no symptoms they may be found during a routine gynaecological examination. If fibroids are suspected an ultrasound scan can confirm diagnosis.

Fibroids near the inner lining and those within the cavity of the womb can be seen directly using a hysteroscope.
