Diagnosis of Giardiasis
Giardiasis is diagnosed by checking stool samples for the parasite. It can be difficult to find, so it’s sometimes necessary to test a number of samples over several days.
The incubation period (time between catching the infection and showing symtoms) is usually 7 – 10 days, but can vary anywhere between 5 and 25 days.
