Causes of Hyperglycaemia

A change blood glucose levels causes hyperglycaemia. The following can cause this:

  • emotional stress,
  • change in medication,
  • wrong (or missed dose) of insulin,
  • less exercise than usual,
  • change in eating habits, or
  • illness such as cold or throat infection.
