Why is it necessary? of Intensive care

Intensive care may be necessary in a variety of circumstances including:

  • after head injury,
  • after major surgery,
  • serious acute illness,
  • respiratory distress, whenever assisted breathing is necessary,
  • the support of two or more major organ systems,
  • where the condition is potentially reversible, and survival is possible.
