Why is it necessary? of Intensive care
Intensive care may be necessary in a variety of circumstances including:
- after head injury,
- after major surgery,
- serious acute illness,
- respiratory distress, whenever assisted breathing is necessary,
- the support of two or more major organ systems,
- where the condition is potentially reversible, and survival is possible.
