Who can use it? of Intrauterine system

A woman’s family and medical history will determine whether or not she can use an IUS.  For example, this method of contraception may be unsuitable for women who have had cancer of the womb or ovary, liver disease, heart attack, stroke, an artificial heart valve implant, unexplained bleeding or past problems with the womb or cervix.

Like the IUD, the IUS can be unsuitable for women who have untreated infections and a doctor will usually perform an internal examination to reveal any existing conditions.
