Advantages of Intrauterine system

The IUS is one of the most effective methods of contraception available in the UK.  It works for about five years or until it is removed and is effective as soon as it is fitted.  Once removed, the woman’s fertility should immediately return to normal.

The IUS is a particularly efficient method of contraception for women who suffer from premenstrual symptoms as it often reduces pain and can result in lighter, shorter periods.

Some women choose this method of contraception because it does not generally interfere with their sex lives.
