Symptoms of Lupus
There are many symptoms of SLE. Rarely do two people have the same symptoms, the most common ones include:
- Joint aches and pains, swollen joints,
- Headaches, migraine or seizures,
- A permanent red, butterfly-shaped rash on the nose and cheeks. The skin may have an increased sensitivity to sunlight, causing skin rashes,
- Kidney problems,
- Fatigue and weakness,
- Mouth ulcers,
- Hair loss,
- Anxiety and depression,
- Fevers and night sweats,
- Inflammation of the membranes covering internal organs, with associated chest and abdominal pain and shortness of breath,
- Anaemia, and
- Neurological disorders, caused by inflammation of the brain.
