Diagnosis of Lymphoedema
Lymphoedema is difficult to diagnose, particularly if it is not related to cancer treatment. It is not a widely recognised condition and is not always correctly identified. Your doctor will examine the affected area and consider your medical history before making a diagnosis. Referral to a lymphoedema specialist may be necessary to make a firm diagnosis.
