Facts of Preconception

Six out of ten couples will conceive within six months of discontinuing contraception.  The majority of remaining couples may find that it takes a little longer to conceive, but this is quite normal.  Statistically, one couple in ten will go on to seek medical help.  Some couples are not able to conceive at all.  Ensuring good health first will maximise the chances of conceiving, and assist medical investigations if it takes a while to get pregnant.
