What is it used for? of Progestogen-only pill
The progestogen-only pill is a form of oral contraceptive (taken by mouth). It is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy if taken correctly. However, it doesn’t stop you catching a sexually transmitted infection (STI). You need to use condoms as well to protect yourself against STIs.
