Radiotherapy
Radiotherapy is the use of X-rays to treat disease, especially cancer.
Nuclear radiation affects both normal and cancerous tissues, but almost all cancers are more sensitive to radiation than are normal cells. It is this difference in sensitivity that makes radiotherapy possible.
