Why is it necessary? of Radiotherapy
Certain conditions, such as lymphoma and some other forms of cancer, can be more effectively treated by radiotherapy than by any other means. In other cases, radiotherapy in combination with other forms of treatment, such as surgery and chemotherapy, provides a better outcome than other methods alone.
In many cases, modern radiotherapy can be very effective. Although around half of the patients who need radiotherapy are at an advanced stage of the disease, it is possible to bring about a considerable improvement in the condition, relieve symptoms and prolong life.
