Restless leg syndrome
Originally defined by a neurologist (brain specialist) in the 1940’s, Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is thought to affect up to 15% of the population.
This treatable disorder normally affects the lower legs, causing tingling or numbness. It is characterised by a feeling of intense restlessness and itching that is only reduced by movement of the limb.
