Causes of Snoring
Obstruction of the nose forces breathing through the mouth. It may be caused by swelling of the mucous membrane lining (see Rhinits), nasal polyps, fracture of the nasal bone, enlarged adenoids or, rarely, nasopharyngeal cancer (cancer above the soft palate).
