Diagnosis of Trichomoniasis

Diagnosis is usually made by testing a sample of the vaginal discharge in a laboratory.  Sometimes, other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) may be tested for at the same time.

Diagnosis can be made by consulting your GP or by arranging to go directly to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic.
