Complications of Uveitis

Untreated uveitis can cause the iris to start sticking to the front surface of the lens. This prevents fluid draining from the pupil and can lead to permanent damage. Therefore the condition needs to be closely monitored because complications such as raised eye pressure, glaucoma and cataracts may develop and lead to loss of vision.
