Decongestants are used to relieve a blocked nose. Decongestants تستخدم للتخفيف من انسداد الأنف. Infection or allergy can cause irritation of the mucous membrane that lines the inside of the nose. عدوى او حساسيه يمكن ان تسبب تهيج الاغشيه المخاطيه من ان خطوط داخل الانف. This leads to swelling of the blood vessels that supply the mucous membrane, making them produce too much mucus. وهذا يؤدي الى تورم الاوعيه الدمويه التي تزود الاغشيه المخاطيه ، مما جعلها تنتج الكثير من المخاط.

A blocked, stuffy or runny nose is a normal symptom of the common cold. مجمد ، stuffy او سيلان الانف هو عادي المشتركة من أعراض البرد. Decongestant drugs are readily-available and may help, but they are not suitable for young children. Decongestant الادوية المتاحة بسهولة - ويمكن أن تساعد ، ولكنها ليست ملائمة للأطفال الصغار. Aromatic decongestants, such as vapour rub ointments, capsules or oils, may be more appropriate for children over 3 months of age with a common cold. Decongestants العطريه ، مثل بخار التدليك المراهم ، او كبسولات والزيوت ، قد تكون اكثر ملاءمة للاطفال اكثر من 3 أشهر من العمر مشترك مع الباردة.
