Diabetic retinopathy لمرضى السكري ، retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy is now one of the most common causes of blindness in the Western world. Retinopathy السكري : هو الآن واحد من أكثر الاسباب شيوعا للعمى في العالم الغربي. It is a disease of small blood vessels in the retina of the eye. وهو مرض الاوعيه الدمويه الصغيرة في الشبكيه من العين. Damage to these vessels causes blood leakage (haemorrhage), which may be small and confined to the retina or may extend forward into the jelly that fills the main cavity of the eye (the vitreous gel). الاضرار التي لحقت هذه السفن اسباب تسرب الدم (النزيف) ، والتي قد تكون صغيرة ومحصورة في الشبكيه او قد تمتد الى الامام في الهلام الرئيسية التي تملأ تجويف العين (زجاجي هلام). This has serious effects on vision. هذا وقد اثار خطيرة على الرءيه.

The growth of fronds of new and fragile blood vessels on the surface of the retina, especially around the head of the optic nerve (the optic disc), is also a feature of this kind of retinopathy, and these new vessels bleed easily. نمو fronds جديدة وهشه من الاوعيه الدمويه الموجودة على سطح الشبكيه ، وخصوصا حول رئيسا للالاعصاب البصريه (قرص البصريه) ، هي ايضا سمة من سمات هذا النوع من retinopathy ، وهذه السفن الجديدة ينزف بسهولة.

One of the important reasons for routine eye examinations is that if new vessel formation is detected early, it may be treated effectively and the dangerous vessels dispersed by applying multiple laser burns to the periphery (outside edges) of the retina. واحد من الاسباب الهامة لفحوص روتينيه العين هو انه اذا كان تشكيل السفينة الجديدة هو الكشف عنها في مراحل مبكره ، فانه يجوز ان تعامل على نحو فعال وخطير السفن المنتشره عن طريق تطبيق ليزر متعددة لحروق هامش (خارج الحواف) من الشبكيه.
