Hearing impairment ضعف السمع

Hearing impairment is when the hearing is affected by a disease, disorder or injury. ضعف السمع هو الاستماع عندما تتأثر المرض ، والفوضى او الاصابة. Deafness is a profound loss of hearing. الصمم هو عميق فقد السمع. Leading charity, the RNID, estimates that there are between eight and nine million deaf and hearing impaired people in the UK. مما يؤدي الخيريه ، rnid ، التقديرات ان هناك ما بين ثمانيه وتسعة ملايين والصم والصم الناس في المملكه المتحدة. This number is expected to rise as the number of people over the age of 60 increases. وهذا العدد من المتوقع ان يرتفع عدد الاشخاص الذين تجاوزت اعمارهم 60 الزيادات.

Hearing loss can be present at birth (deaf or hard of hearing people) or develop in childhood or adulthood (deafened people). ويمكن الاستماع الى خسارة عند الولادة (الصم او معوقين سمعيا) او وضع في مرحلة الطفولة او البلوغ (مصم الشعب). It occurs for a large number of reasons, which can be categorised into conductive and sensorineural. يحدث بالنسبة لعدد كبير من الأسباب ، التي يمكن ان تصنف الى موصل وsensorineural.

Conductive means that sound coming into the ear is blocked in some way from travelling to the inner ear. موصل سليمة يعني ان تأتي الى الاذن وتسد الطريق في بعض من السفر الى الاذن الداخلية. Conductive causes include: موصل تشمل الاسباب :

• Middle ear infections, اصابات الاذن الوسطى ،
• Glue ear, صمغ الاذن ،
• Wax blockage, سد الشمع ،
• Eardrum injury, اصابة طبلة الاذن ،
• Otosclerosis (a disorder of the middle ear), Otosclerosis (أ الفوضى من الاذن الوسطى) ،
• and Rheumatoid arthritis. والتهاب المفاصل.

Sensorineural causes are ones where the pathway the sound travels along is damaged. Sensorineural فيها بعض الاسباب هي الطريق السليم هو يسافر الى جانب لحقت بها اضرار. These include: وهي تشمل ما يلي :

• Age-related hearing loss, الاستماع المتعلقة بالسن الخسارة ،
• Acoustic trauma (physical damage to the ear), الصدمه الصوتيه (الاضرار الماديه التي لحقت الإذن) ،
• Viral infections such as mumps or measles, حالات العدوى الفيروسيه مثل الحصبة او النكاف ،
• Meniere’s disease, Meniereâ € ™ ق المرض ،
• Acoustic neuroma (a non-cancerous growth near the hearing nerves) , Neuroma الصوتي (غير سرطانيه نمو الاعصاب بالقرب من جلسة الاستماع) ،
• Meningitis, التهاب السحايا ،
• Encephalitis, التهاب الدماغ
• Multiple sclerosis, التصلب المتعدد ،
• Brain tumours, اورام الدماغ ،
• and Stroke. والسكته الدماغيه.
