Peptic ulcer Peptic قرحة

Ulcers are sores or holes in the lining of an organ. القرحات هي القروح او ثقوب في البطانه للجهاز. They look like small, red craters. انها تبدو صغيرة ، حفر الاحمر. Peptic ulcer is the collective name for duodenal ulcers or gastric (stomach) ulcers. Peptic القرحه هي الاسم او لاثني عشرى قرحات الجهاز الهضمي (المعده) القرحات.

The stomach produces acid to break down food during the digestive process. وتنتج حمض المعده لكسر الغذاء خلال عملية الهضم. The stomach and upper part of the small intestine (duodenum), are protected from the acid by a lining of sticky fluid (mucus).  If this lining is damaged, the sensitive tissue underneath is exposed to acid. المعده والجزء الاعلى من الامعاء الصغيرة (duodenum) ، بالحمايه من حامض من قبل بطانة من السوائل اللزجه (مخاط). واذا كانت هذه البطانه قد تعرضت للتلف ، فان حساسيه الانسجه تحت يتعرض لحامض. Irritation of the wall tissue in the stomach and duodenum may cause an ulcer to form. تهيج الانسجه من الجدار في معدته وduodenum قد تسبب قرحة على تأليفها.

Duodenal ulcers are more common than gastric ulcers and usually occur in people aged 20 to 45, particularly men. اثني عشرى القرحات هي اكثر شيوعا واستعمالا من قرحات الجهاز الهضمي وعادة ما تحدث في الاشخاص الذين تتراوح اعمارهم بين 20 و 45 ، وبخاصه الرجال. Gastric ulcers are more common in people over the age of 50. القرحات المعويه هي أكثر شيوعا في الاشخاص فوق سن 50.

Approximately 1 in 8 people in the UK develop a peptic ulcer at some time in their lives. 1 في ما يقرب من 8 اشخاص فى المملكه المتحدة وضع peptic قرحة في وقت ما في حياتهم.
