Uveitis

Uveitis is the general name given to an inflammation of part of the uveal tract of the eye. Uveitis العام هو الاسم المعطى للالتهاب في جزء من uveal المسالك للعيان. The uveal tract is a group of connected structures inside the eye, made up of the iris (coloured part of the eye), the ciliary body (ring of muscle behind the iris) and the choroid (layer of tissue that supports the retina). وقد uveal المسالك هي مجموعة من الهياكل ترتبط داخل العين ، وتتألف من ايريس (اللون جزء من العين) ، ciliary الهيءه (حلقة العضلات وراء ايريس) وchoroid (طبقة من الانسجه التي تدعم الشبكيه).

There are different types of uveitis, depending on which part of the eye is affected: وهناك أنواع مختلفة من uveitis ، اعتمادا على أي جزء من العين المتاثره :

  • Anterior uveitis - inflammation of the iris (iritis) or inflammation of the iris and the ciliary body (iridocyclitis). سابقة uveitis -- التهاب القزحيه (iritis) أو التهاب القزحيه والجسم ciliary (iridocyclitis). This is the most common type of uveitis, accounting for 75% of cases (1). وهذا هو النوع الاكثر شيوعا من uveitis ، وهو ما يمثل 75 ٪ من الحالات (1).
  • Intermediate uveitis - this affects the area behind the ciliary body, as well as the retina and the most forward edge of the retina. وسيطة uveitis -- وهذا يؤثر على منطقة وراء ciliary الهيءه ، فضلا عن الشبكيه واكثر الى الامام على حافة منطقة الشبكيه.
  • Posterior uveitis - this affects the area at the back of the eye, the choroids, and the retina. مؤخرة uveitis -- وهذا يؤثر على منطقة فى الجزء الخلفى من العين ، choroids ، والشبكيه.
  • Panuveitis uveitis - the entire uveal tract is affected. Panuveitis uveitis -- بأسره uveal المسالك تتأثر.

Uveitis can be acute and short-lived, or chronic and recurrent. Uveitis يمكن ان تكون حاده وقصير الأجل ، او المزمنه والمتكررة. Uveitis is a serious condition. Uveitis هي حالة خطيرة. If it is not treated, eyesight can be seriously damaged. اذا لم يتم علاجها ، ويمكن ان تكون بصر باضرار جسيمة.
