Addison's disease Morbus Addison

Addison’s disease is a disorder of the adrenal glands. Addisonâ € ™ s-Krankheit ist eine Störung der Nebennieren. The adrenal glands are small, hat-shaped glands that sit on top of the kidneys, high up inside the back of the abdominal wall. Die Nebennieren sind kleine, Hut-förmige Drüsen, sitzen am Anfang der Nieren, hoch oben in der Rückseite der Bauchwand.

The adrenal glands have two functions. Die Nebennieren haben zwei Funktionen. The inner area, called the medulla, produces the hormone adrenaline, and passes it into the bloodstream.
