Jaundice - newborn Gelbsucht - neugeborenen
Jaundice is very common in newborn babies – over half of all newborns have some degree of jaundice. Gelbsucht ist sehr häufig bei Neugeborenen â € "mehr als die Hälfte aller Neugeborenen haben einen gewissen Grad an Gelbsucht. It’s usually nothing to worry about, and needs no treatment as it disappears after a couple of weeks. Jaundice is caused by the liver not being fully developed and not yet fully functioning properly. Gelbsucht wird durch die Leber nicht voll entwickelt und noch nicht vollständig funktioniert.
A jaundiced baby’s skin will look slightly yellow. Ein jaundiced babyâ € ™ s Haut wird sich leicht gelb. In some babies the yellowing can be noticed in the whites of the eyes. In einigen Babys die Gelbfärbung kann festgestellt werden, in die Weißweine von den Augen.
Jaundice is more common in boys than girls (1) and in premature babies. Gelbsucht ist häufiger bei Jungen als Mädchen (1) und in der Frühgeborenen führen.
