Lumbar puncture Lumbalpunktion

A lumbar puncture is a procedure in which a hollow needle is inserted into the lower part of the spinal canal to take a sample of the watery fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord, or to inject drugs and other substances into this fluid.
