Cancer of the oesophagus Cancer de l'oesophage

The oesophagus is the medical name for the gullet. L'œsophage est le nom médical de l'oesophage. It is part of the digestive system. Il fait partie du système digestif. The oesphagus is a long tube that carries food from the throat to the stomach. Le oesphagus est un long tube qui transporte la nourriture de la gorge à l'estomac. Cancer happens when some of the cells multiply in an abnormal way, causing a growth called a tumour to form.
