Cancer of the liver Cancro do fígado

The liver is the largest organ in the body.  It carries out many important functions, such as: O fígado é o maior órgão do corpo. Ela realiza várias funções importantes, tais como:

The liver has a unique ability to heal itself in most instances and cancer of the liver is rare in the UK.There are two types of liver cancer: O fígado tem uma capacidade única para curar-se na maioria dos casos e de cancro do fígado é rara na UK.There são dois tipos de cancro do fígado:

• Primary - cancer that originates in the liver itself; Primária - que se origina câncer no fígado em si;

The most common type of primary liver cancer is called a hepatoma or hepacellular carcinoma; where a growth develops in the main cells of the liver.
